Exporting to the United States workshop Back to 'Taranaki News'

ExporTar, the Taranaki exporter development programme, is hosting a workshop to help Taranaki businesses develop export links into US markets, on 27 May 2008.  This workshop will provide exporters new to the United States with an overview of the key regulatory, business and marketing issues involved in exporting to this sizable and sophisticated market. The workshop highlights the challenges involved in doing business in a country comprising of 52 different markets. 

Split into two parts, the workshop will cover:
 
Part 1 – Business and Regulatory Overview
Market Opportunities | Importing Regulations | Sales Tax | Business and Product Compliance | Protecting IP | Doing Business in the US |Budgets for Setting Up | Employment & Immigration Issues| Insurance and Banking
 
Part 2 – Marketing Issues
Go In Prepared | One Country, Many Markets | Understand the Differences | Get Wired | Distribution is King | Price for the Market | Use Allies in the Market | Give It Time
 
The workshop is run under the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Exporter Education Programme and will be delivered by NZTE's training provider WHK Gosling Chapman.
 
The fee for the full day workshop is $160 + GST which includes a one-on-one coaching follow-up session, as well as lunch on the day.The workshop will be held at Venture Taranaki, 9 Robe Street, New Plymouth.
